Whiting battled back from being down 1-4 to even it up at 5 all, but Griffin continued to battle and tied it up at 6 all. Whiting was able to get a few mini breaks early in the breaker to win 7-4. The 3rd set was epic. Both girls were suffering from physical ailments and fatigue. The set started of with both players breaking each others serves in the fist 5 games. Finally Whiting was able to hold serve and take the lead in the set 4-2. Griffin battled back and tied it up 4 all. Both girls were staggering and holding back tears as each point and game continued to drag on. There were multiple points in every game that lasted over 20 shots.
